On August 25, the Department of Local Services’ Permitting Division welcomed more than 60 homeowners to the first Home Improvement Fair in Skyway—and what a night it was! Neighbors from Skyway and across unincorporated King County connected with home construction vendors, met one-on-one with Permitting staff, and packed the room for a standing‑room‑only Permitting 101 session.
A huge thank you to our dedicated DLS staff, participating vendors, and every community member who helped make this kickoff event such a success. Your energy and enthusiasm set the tone for an exciting season of home improvement support.

From Seattle: Take 16th Ave SW or Myers Way S to SW 108th St, then turn south into Dick Thurnau Memorial Park.
From Burien: Take 4th Ave SW or 1st Ave S to SW 108th St, then turn south into Dick Thurnau Memorial Park.
The Technology Access Foundation is located in Dick Thurnau Memorial Park. Free parking is available onsite and on nearby public streets.
Public Transit: Metro Routes 128 and 131 serve this location.
