White Center/South Park

  • White Center Pedestrian Improvement Project includes safety improvements like curb extensions, flashing lights, high-visibility signs, and more at the intersections below.
    • 10th Avenue SW and SW 112th Street and SW 114th Street
    • SW 102nd Street at 13th Avenue SW
  • The S 96th Street Drainage Improvement Project will extend life of current drainage system. Construction is expected to begin in mid-summer 2026.

    Skyway

    • Road Services plans to replace 26 older curb ramps at seven intersections in Skyway as part of the 68th Avenue S and S 124th Safety Improvement Project. The project also includes re-paving 68th Avenue S/S 124th Street from Campbell Hill Elementary to Renton Avenue S. Construction is expected to begin in late spring 2026.
    • The Speed Reduction & Pedestrian Safety Project will reduce speed limits along Renton Ave S to improve safety. Construction is expected to start in spring 2026.

    Cottage Lake and near Duvall

    • NE 128th Culvert Replacement Project will replace an aging metal pipe with a larger box culvert to support drainage and fish passage. Construction is anticipated to start as soon as August 2026.
    • Roadway Paving Projects are happening throughout the Cottage Lake and Duvall area. Locations are below. Construction is expected to begin in late spring and could last through fall.
      • 148th Avenue NE (147th Pl NE to 140th Pl NE)
      • 216th Avenue NE (house #14503 to 214th Way NE)

    Fairwood and Mirrormont / near Tiger Mountain

    • Road Services crews plan to construct the Fifteen Mile Creek Bridge #493C Replacement Project as soon as mid-June 2026 because it is past is useful life. SE May Valley Road near Issaquah-Hobart Road SE will close 24/7 for up to 12 weeks and all traffic will follow the signed detour route.
    The existing Fifteen Mile Creek Bridge does not have shoulders. The new bridge adds 8-foot shoulders to the roadway.
    • SE Jones Road Culvert Replacement Project includes replacing a worn metal pipe with a new box culvert for improved drainage and fish passage. SE Jones Road to close 24/7 to all traffic for up to 8 weeks. Anticipated construction in late-summer 2026.
    • SE Petrovitsky Road at 151st Avenue SE Culvert Replacement Project will support drainage and reduce flood risk. Construction is anticipated in mid- summer 2026

    Near Covington

    Skykomish/Baring

    • The Temporary Bridge Installation at Baring Bridge will allow access for all legal load vehicles to/from the community until the full bridge replacement (anticipated to begin in 2029.) Construction for the temporary bridge began in April 2026 and is expected to last up to three months.

    Vashon

    • The Judd Creek Bridge #3184 Resurfacing Project will remove the top layer of worn-out concrete on the bridge deck and replace it with new specialized polyester polymer concrete to extend the bridge. Vashon Highway SW at the bridge location will be closed 24/7 to all traffic for up to six weeks. All traffic will use a posted detour during the closure. Construction is anticipated to begin in early July 2026.
    • The Vashon Highway SW and SW 103rd Street Project includes repairs to the right-hand lane of ferry traffic exiting the terminal. Construction may begin in summer 2026.
    • Crews are planning to replace an underground culvert at 91st Ave SW and SW Dilworth Road in the summer of 2026.

    Near Enumclaw
