King County Local Services virtual town halls for the unincorporated areas return in March

They’re back! King County Local Services is again bringing local government directly to the unincorporated areas with the return of its popular Community Service Area Town Hall events.

And those who attend will help to prioritize the community requests submitted to Local Services in 2021.

The local government for the nearly 250,000 residents and businesses of unincorporated King County will hold nearly a dozen of these virtual events throughout March. Those who attend will hear from their elected leaders and department staff about services and programs in their communities.

The series will kick off on Wednesday, March 9 with a meeting for unincorporated area residents and businesses in the Bear Creek/Sammamish area. Local Services will hold other town halls throughout the month, moving through the unincorporated areas until the final event on March 30 for the Fairwood area. Below is the full schedule:

  • March 9: Bear Creek/Sammamish
  • March 10: Skyway-West Hill
  • March 14: East Renton
  • March 15: SE King County
  • March 17: Vashon Island
  • March 21: Greater Maple Valley/Cedar River
  • March 22: North Highline (White Center)
  • March 24: Snoqualmie Valley/NE King County
  • March 28: Four Creeks/Tiger Mountain
  • March 29: East Federal Way
  • March 30: Fairwood

Each event will run from 6 to 8 p.m., via Zoom. To find the login information, users can visit the “Town Hall” section of the Local Services website.
