Director, King County Dept. of Transportation

In May and June, I’m looking forward to attending our nine remaining Community Services Area Town Hall meetings. In partnership with members of the King County Council, who provide direct representation in their respective districts, these annual meetings are a chance for us to get out to where residents of the unincorporated areas live, hear your concerns, and gather your feedback.

New at the Town Halls this year will be discussion of the proposal for a new Department of Local Services dedicated to providing residents with a focused point of accountability in the County and having your voices heard – creating a best-run local government for our residents to accompany the Executive’s best-run regional government.

I’m planning to attend all of the upcoming Town Hall meetings in Maple Valley, Fairwood, Four Creeks, Bear Creek, North Highline/White Center, West Hill/Skyway, Snoqualmie Valley, Vashon/Maury Island, and Federal Way. I look forward to seeing you there. And whether or not you are able attend, we welcome your questions and ideas sent to asklocalservices@kingcounty.gov. Your feedback has already made a difference.
