There are now more ways to connect with the King County Department of Local Services.
We’re excited to announce that we have launched our official LinkedIn and YouTube channels! These channels offer new ways for us to engage with the communities we serve in an ever-evolving social media landscape. These also allow us to give the public a direct connection to those on the Department of Local Services team. Here’s a rundown of each new channel:
Much more than a job board (we will post job openings, for sure), this platform will help us highlight our department successes, showcase our efforts in community and tell the story of our workplace culture. You will also see spotlights on our team members. We encourage everyone to follow our page.
YouTube
There’s so much more to this platform than cat videos (although those are still awesome). This platform is now one of our main channels for reaching audiences. YouTube continues to be, after all, the most popular social media site on Earth. We offer playlists for both our Road Services and Permitting Divisions, as well as videos covering different programs in the Director’s Office. Something we’re especially proud of are our series of professionally produced videos about our programs that have been interpreted to seven different languages spoken in unincorporated King County:
When you have time, please be sure to follow all of the Department of Local Services’ social media channels:
