King County Local Services welcomes our newest Project Manager – Sara Estiri!

Sara will lead the Community Needs List program, which is a way for residents to share what their communities need in terms of improvement from a planning standpoint.

She comes to Local Services from the City of Sammamish, where she spent five years as project manager, and she brings nearly a decade of project management experience. She has guided and overseen a variety of projects, from public policy and strategic planning to technology. In particular, she enjoyed leading the launch of an Intranet SharePoint site for the city, as well as overhauling its vision statement through public engagement. She holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Policy and Governance.

In her new position, Sara will leverage her experience to engage with the public, interact with residents/neighborhood groups and serve the community, which she says are the most interesting and rewarding aspects of the job.

“The Community Needs List program allows me to connect with others, share ideas and experiences, and build relationships while working toward a common goal,” Sara says. “The program will give me the opportunity to help residents of unincorporated King County identify their needs by creating lists of potential services, programs and capital improvement projects. This will provide community members with an opportunity to influence King County’s budget. I can’t wait to start connecting!”

Outside of work, Sara loves spending time with her family, exploring new places, watching television shows and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

Please join us in welcoming Sara to our team!
